Kate Roxburgh and Shay Kuehlmann are award winning filmmakers who have been working together as a producer, writer, director duo for many years in theatre, comedy and film. Under their production company Dog Sky Films they also have a slate of projects they have overseen and produced.
Kate and Shay started out as a sketch comedy duo before moving into writing and directing film. They produced, wrote and directed comedy shows together for the Edinburgh Comedy Festival and were finalists in several leading comedy competitions including Hackney’s New Act and Fosters So You Think That’s Funny.
They have written and directed several award winning short films together ‘A Dog Called Moose' (Winner Best Short SA.FI.TER film festival: Nominated Best Actor Ouchy Film Awards and Best Music Redline Film Festival ) 'The Bridge' (FINALIST BRUKIVKA Film Festival; Semi Finalist Los Angeles Cinefest) and 'Kantsaywhere' (Official Selection at the Oscar and BAFTA qualifying festival Rhodes Island Film Festival)
Their short film 'Happy Death Day' was recently selected Winner of the "First Flights' film grant and was also a finalist in the 'Shore Scripts" competition
Their films have screened at over 50 film festivals world wide.
